WHISKY GALORE TOUR 2017 - AKA "THEY'RE AT IT AGAIN"

Well, yes, we have been at it again - visiting the distilleries on Islay, that is. We brought along another couple with us this time but, as they're not whisky enthusiasts, we didn't manage to revisit all eight distilleries on the island. With prior knowledge of the Islay Safari Supper in August, we booked a summer sojourn to Islay via Skye and Oban. We had to go back to Oban to eat at Ee-Usk, an excellent fish restaurant on the quayside. Excellent atmosphere, excellent food and service, and some very good wines. I can recommend the Kim Crawford Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc - I think it was the 2014 but that has probably sold out by now. Beware this wine, it is utterly gluggable.

This year we also managed a trip to Dalwhinnie and so that is now included in the 2017 list.
