Wilson's Brewery

The brewery in Monsall Road opened in 1834 and by the 1890's it was trading as Wilson's and Co. It amalgamated with Watney Mann in 1960 and merged with Websters in 1985. In 1987, production was transferred to Halifax and the brewery finally closed. The Wilson's brand lived on for a while longer in beers brewed by Morland's and Mansfield but the Wilson's brand finally ceased production during 1998.
